State Track Meet Athletes

Hamilton Athletes competed at the State Track & Field competition in Austin on Friday. They represented Hamilton ISD well with their hard work and determination on the track and field.

Senior Ryan Worbington won 2nd in State with a jump of 22'0.75". Ryan is an HHS school record holder and was narrowly unseated by the defending state champion Jamarquis Johnson of Rosebud-Lott. Congratulations Ryan!!

Sophomore Anna Pearcy was a busy girl and competed at 3 events at State! Anna claimed 2nd place with her 800-meter run with a time of 2:18.72. She then competed in the 400 M Dash and placed seventh with a time of 1:00.18.

Senior, Cuyler Pearcy finished off his senior year in style by placing ninth in the 2A UIL State Track and Field championship in the 1600-meter run with a time of 4:43.96

The Lady Bulldogs 4x400-meter relay team, Anna Pearcy, Madison Henkes, Kaitlyn Walton, and Campbell Lengefeld, battled against the top 9 teams in the state. They ran their best time of 4:01.60, coming in fourth in the state.
